岩手といえば、イギリス北部のスコットランドからやってきたホームスパンという手紡ぎの技術があります。この毛糸はホームスパンではありませんが、その素晴らしさを残していきたいと手編みにこだわり制作しているブランドです。

Hand-knit wool warmers. This warmer arrived from Iwate prefecture.
These warmers can be worn around the ankles or wrists, for men or women, for unisex use. We want to protect you from the cold, but being too practical is boring. The three-dimensional cable-knit of aran-derived fabrics breathes in air and keeps you warm. The pattern is based on the fishermen's wishes for safety and a great catch.

Speaking of Iwate, there is a handspinning technique called homespun that comes from Scotland in northern England. Although this yarn is not homespun, this brand is produced with a commitment to hand-knitting in order to preserve the excellence of this technique.
