mintama＝ミンタマは沖縄の方言で“目ん玉”の事。
WAKUTAシリーズの施釉による意匠は器の内側に楕円形の土露呈部が現れ、その中心にアクセントとして打つ点打ちが目玉のように見える事から「mintama」シリーズ。

Pottery studio ICHI

This is a work by Koji Iki, who has a studio in Yomitanson, Okinawa.

mintama = Mintama is an Okinawan dialect for "eyeballs".
The design of the WAKUTA series by glazing is the "mintama" series because an oval shape part appears inside the vessel, and the dots that are draw as accents in the center look like eyeballs.
