伝統的製法でつくられたオーセンティックなマルセイユ石鹸です。天然植物オイルを“72%”以上配合しなければならない（残り28%は水分と塩）など、300年以上前から続く厳しい基準を満たした無添加オリーブ石鹸です。皮脂の汚れをほどよく洗い流し、しっとりとした洗い上がりです。

「サボン・ド・マルセイユ」と呼ぶことができるのは、合成成分を添加していないオリーブとパームの２種類のみ。「サボン・ド・マルセイユ（オリーブ）」の原料は、オリーブオイルとヤシオイルのみ。余分なものは何も入れず、実にシンプル。パームタイプは、持続可能なパームオイル（RSPO認証）のみを使用しています。

植物性オイルに苛性ソーダを加えて反応させ、ショードロンと呼ばれる大釜で数日間煮詰め、新鮮な水で2、3回 ‘Washing（洗い）‘をかけて、過剰な水分やグリセリン、不純物を取り除き、残っている石鹸の結晶組織を完全になめらかな状態にしていきます。この伝統的な工程を経て、緑色の石鹸素地が作られソープマスターが、石鹸の出来具合を都度チェックし、伝統的な製法と品質を現代にもつないでいます。


サボネリー・デュ・ミディ社が製造する全ての「サボン・ド・マルセイユ」は以下の厳しい基準をクリアし、マルセイユ政府が認めるUPSM認証*のスタンプが押されています。

Additive-free Marseille soap made with olive oil*.

*In French, Savon de Marseille. In English, Marseille Soap. In Japanese, it is called Marseille sekken.

Authentic Marseille soap made by traditional methods. It is an additive-free olive soap that meets strict standards that have been in place for more than 300 years, including the requirement that it must contain at least 72% natural vegetable oil (the remaining 28% is water and salt). The soap washes away dirt and sebum and leaves the skin moist and clean.

Only two types of soap can be called "Savon de Marseille": olive and palm, to which no synthetic ingredients are added. The only ingredients in Savon de Marseille (Olive) are olive oil and palm oil. Nothing extra is added, making it truly simple. The palm type uses only sustainable palm oil (RSPO certified).

The vegetable oil is reacted with caustic soda, boiled for several days in a cauldron called a Chaudron, and then 'washed' two or three times with fresh water to remove excess water, glycerin, and impurities, leaving the remaining soap crystal structure completely The remaining crystalline structure of the soap is then left in a completely smooth state. This traditional process produces the green soap base, which is checked by the soap masters to ensure the quality of the soap and that the traditional methods and quality are maintained in the modern age.


All Savonnerie du Midi products meet the following strict criteria and are stamped with the UPSM certification*, recognized by the Marseilles government.
*UPSM stands for the Union of Marseille Soap Professional.

The product is also certified by Ecocert Cosmos Natural, an organic certification organization that is regarded as the global standard for natural cosmetics, mainly in Europe.
All raw materials used in the products have been scrutinized and meet COSMOS standards, such as that they must be naturally derived raw materials.
The Ecocert Cosmos Natural certification is also a sign that the soap is environmentally friendly. Savon de Marseille is biodegradable, so it does not pollute the ocean and is ecologically friendly. What is made from natural materials will return to nature.
